It just dosent feel exactly right for me to be a mod here. Im hardly active, I hardly know the
admins, and I just about dont play minecraft anymore.

Yup, I am retiring now. Im not going to leave the group though, im just gonna stay in as a member.

Now, I say mod spotlight, but what I REALLY mean is MODS SPOTLIGHT. I say this because, in fact, the mod I am featuring this week is one that is more of a compilation by all the authors than a mod itself. It is called the 'Technic Pack', and it combines the latest and greatest of the modding communities mods (supported and made BY the authors) AND, get this - IT HAS MULTIPLAYER AND BUKKIT SUPPORT. It even has it's own launcher! This mod has Optifine, which I featured last week, Buildcraft, IndustrialCraft, Equivalent Exchange, Eloraam's Red Power Mod, and MORE! ALL MULTIPLAYER COMPATIBLE! Go to the website down below and download the launcher! If you want to do Multiplayer, choose 'Tekkit' on the main menu rather than Technic Pack. Anyways, I LOVE this modpack! Super fun with friend. I just run around throwing spears but hey, what can you do

Sup, broskis? Sorry about the awkward intro...trying it out (xD). Anyways, I have been playing WoW lately, but I have a few Minecraft suggestions for you. You've heard about the new 256 world height, right? Well, Minecraft doesn't utilize it in the world generation, so there's a helpful mod for that. This mod is called "Wedge". It modifies world gen but - here's the catch - you can customize it. It gives you easy and expert option choices. Personally, I use Easy because, in addition to providing an isometric (3D, but 2D...odd) viewer before world generation - basically providing a 3D model of what a chunk will look like - it gives you a CRAZINESS SLIDER! Highest level craziness will give you floating blocks and lopsided mountains - AWESOME! Also, I know this is true for me and most people - we get lag, a lot of lag in fact. I got probably, say, 3 FPS on Minecraft? And this is a GAMING LAPTOP. Still, I love Minecraft. Anyway, there is this amazing mod called Optifine that will boost your FPS (frames per second), by my experience, up to 40 frames or more (on a bad computer).
